How to Make a Pouf From Nylon Net

Save money and make your own nylon net poufs for your bath and shower. They work wonderfully at exfoliating the skin. Nylon net is less than a dollar a yard and each yard can yield six poufs, making this project very affordable. They require no sewing and are simple to create. Plan an evening of family time with your children and craft them as gifts for family and friends, or make dozens for craft bazaars or Christmas stocking stuffers.

  • 1/6-yard nylon net
  • Measuring tape
  • Scissors
  • 1/2-yard nylon cording

Instructions

    • 1

      Do not unfold the width of the purchased nylon net. It is 72-inches wide and it is easier to cut when folded. Measure the length of the netting 6-inches and cut.

      Unfold the cut 6-inch wide by 72-inch long nylon net strip. Cut an 18-inch length of nylon cording.

      Fold over one short end of the nylon net strip 3-inches and then under 3-inches. Continue with this accordion fold to the end of the 72-inch strip.

      Tie the center of the 18-inch length of nylon cording around the center of the folded nylon net. Knot the cording tightly. Bring the ends of the cording together and tie in an overhand knot. This is the hanger of the nylon net pouf.

      Twist, fluff and separate the layers and ends of the accordion folded net to form a ball.
