How to Uninstall Open Office 3
Open Office 3 is open source productivity software. It has all the familiar features of Microsoft Office like word processing, spreadsheets, databases and more. What makes it so desirable is the fact that it can be installed on any operating system and can open documents meant for Microsoft Office. If you decide you do not want Open Office anymore because you downloaded Microsoft Office or a different productivity software package, uninstall Open Office from your computer to save space.

Click the "Start" button at the bottom of the screen.

Click "Control Panel."

Select "Uninstall a program" under "Programs" ("Add/remove programs" on Windows XP).

Find and select "Open Office 3."

Select "Uninstall" at the top of the window in Vista, or "Change/remove" in XP.

Follow the steps for uninstalling the software that will appear on the screen.

Open the "Application" folder.

Find the "OOo" icon in the folder. This is the Open Office 3 icon.

Click and drag the icon over to the "Trash" icon.

Drop the icon on the "Trash" icon to remove it.
