How to Open Web Pages in the Same Window

Web browsers enable you to search the web for multiple content including pictures, videos and music. They also include tabs, which enable you to open multiple web pages within the same browser window. This enables you to organize the web pages effectively without having to launch multiple windows. Tabbed browsing is very simple and comes in handy when you need to use a number of web pages.

  • Launch your web browser from the location on your computer. You are automatically directed to the home page.

  • Click the "File" menu on your web browser and click "New" tab to open a new page within the same browser window. Alternatively, you can open a new tab by pressing "CTRL" and "T" together. Click the new tab and type the URL address of the website you want to navigate to.

  • Open a new link on the same window you are using. To do so, right-click the link you want to open and click "Open in New Tab." The web page automatically launches on a new tab within the same browser window.

  • Right-click the tab of the web page you are viewing if you want to duplicate it to a new tab. Select "Duplicate" on the pop-up menu. Your browser launches the same web page on a new tab within the same browser window.

  • Move the tabs if you want to place them in a certain order. To set the order, click tab you want to move and drag to the position you want.
