How to Get the GM Friends and Family Discount

GM offers discounts to both family members and friends of employees on their vast selection of vehicles. The employee discount is available to six members of the employee's family. Friends of an employee are eligible to receive the Supplier discount. To get the discount, the employee must log in his information at the GM website and obtain an authorization code, which can be taken to the dealership to purchase a vehicle at a discounted price.

Family Members

1. Access gmfamilyfirst.com and click on "Price your Vehicle" to see the current models and the pricing available.

2. Log into the website and select "New Vehicle Purchase." When prompted, add the family member's date of birth and zip code. Click "Enter" and you will be directed to a page with an authorization code. Print the page or copy down the authorization code.

3. Take the authorization number to your family member's local dealership to receive the discount.

Friends Discount

1. Log in to gmfamilyfirst.com.

2. Access the GM Supplier's Discount for Friends in the left navigation menu. When prompted, add your friend's date of birth and zip code. Click "Enter" and you will be directed to a page with an authorization code. Print the page or copy down the authorization code.

3. Take the authorization code to the dealership to receive the discount.

Tips & Warnings

• The GM Family and Friends discounts can also be combined with other dealer incentives.

• The GM employee does not need to be present when the vehicle is being purchased.
