    • 4

Click "Start Wizard" to begin the layout design of your flyer. Go through each step of the wizard and select your various layout details, including color scheme, customer address placeholders and business (personal) information to use.

    • 6

Click "Finish" to complete the design wizard. Check over the flyer. Return to any of the selections by clicking on it from the list to change your layout.

    • 7

Edit any parts of the text on the flyer by highlighting it with your mouse. Replace the text with your own words.

    • 8

    • 9

Insert additional text using the "Text Frame Tool," more clip art with the "Clip Gallery Tool" or add pictures with the "Picture Frame Tool." Place the items on the flyer in the location preferred.

    • 10

Move items around the flyer with your mouse, if needed. Print a single copy of the flyer.

    • 11

Proofread your flyer and make any alterations necessary. Print flyers as needed.

Tips & Warnings

  • Keep the text to only what is needed for the flyer to be read quickly and understood easily. Strive to get your message across clearly to the audience for which it is intended (use appropriate language).

  • Include photos or graphics that pertain to the information on the flyer, such as a car on a "for sale" flyer or a picture of beer on a party announcement flyer. Use your own photos, if possible, to personalize the flyer or use photos from Microsoft Office Online.

  • Review the flyer templates offered at Microsoft Office Online for different ideas and designs to use on your flyer. Remember, you can make changes to these templates also, once you have downloaded them.

  • Make sure the version of Publisher listed in the template matches the one you are using befre you download any of the Microsoft Office Online templates. If the template version does not match your version of Publisher, tt will not open correctly or at all.

  • Save a copy of the flyer you designed, if you will need to access it later on. Save it again if you make any changes to it or you will lose the changes made.
