Things You'll Need

  • Oven

  • Cookie sheet

Popcorn is actually a bunch of corn kernels that have puffed out after being heated up. The popcorn is crispy and light, making it great for serving as a snack food. Butter, salt and other flavorings can easily be added to the popcorn. If all of the popcorn is not eaten within an hour or two, it starts to turn stale. The popcorn does not have to be thrown away; it can be made crispy again.

Step 2

Step 4

Wait five minutes and check to see if your popcorn is as crispy as you like it. If not, let it sit another two to three minutes. Any longer than 10 minutes may burn the popcorn.

Step 5

Transfer the popcorn from the cookie sheet to a bowl and add butter and salt to taste.

Tip

This also works for stale biscuits or leftover pizza.

Warning

If you leave the oven on after you place the popcorn in it, you will remove too much moisture and the popcorn will burn.
