Avoid taking Tylenol or aspirin. I know there might be pain associated with the bloody nose - if you got wacked - but these medications will thin your blood and prevent your blood from forming a clot.

2
Pinch the highest part of the bridge of your nose together. This will help stop the bleeding by cutting off the blood flow to your veins. Do NOT pinch your nostrils together, as this will cause blood to drip down into your mouth and throat.

Apply an ice pack to your lower forehead. Ice will help slow down the circulation of blood right away. Avoid putting the ice pack directly on your nose. This practice will often only cool the area where the blood is freely flowing and not your veins directly.
