How to Make Tea Centerpieces
Both big and little girls bubble with excitement at the thought of an afternoon tea party complete with finger sandwiches, scones and jam and tea served in dainty tea cups. When decorating the tables, you want to create an elegant look that is still simple and not too complicated. Incorporate items used for the tea party such as tea pots, tea cups and tea bags, and add flowers and candles to complete the look. These tea centerpieces are easy on the budget and a snap to put together. Does this Spark an idea?

Set a lace doily in the center of each table. If using a long rectangular table, space two to four doilies evenly down the center of the table. Use old handkerchiefs or colorful cloth napkins in place of the lace doilies if desired.

Set a tea pot in the center of each doily. Take the lid off the tea pot, and place it on the doily next to the pot.

Place a small piece of floral foam inside each tea pot. Insert the stems of silk flowers into the foam to hold in place. If desired, add some greenery with the flowers.

Place four to five clean tea cups around the the tea pot on the doily. Use as many tea cups as there are guests at each table. The tea cups will be used for the tea party.

Put votive candles in between the tea cups on the doily. Light the candles right before the guests arrive.

Tips & Warnings
Place bowls with various tea bags on the table along with creamer and sugar bowl.
If desired, remove the flowers and foam from the tea pots, clean the tea pot well and fill with hot water to be used for the tea.
