Simple Construction Paper Sphere
-
1
Cut construction paper into 1/2-inch-wide strips using a paper cutter or scissors. Choose the length of your strip based on the desired size; however, no more than 6 inches is ideal. Cut as few as 12 or as many as 20 strips, depending upon the size and fullness you prefer.
-
2
Punch holes at each end of the paper strips, carefully lining them up.
-
-
3
Place a brad through the holes on each end, joining all the paper strips.
-
4
Bend the paper strips into a "C" shape. Fan out the strips to form a spherical or globe shape.
-
5
Thread a ribbon through the paper strips for hanging, and display your construction paper sphere.
Complex Construction Paper Sphere
-
6
Cut 20 circles from construction paper with a circle cutter.
-
7
Make a triangular template from construction paper that fits within the circles. Fold each circle template around the triangle, creating neat creases.
-
8
Glue together 10 circles to form a ring or open circle shape, attaching the folded flaps to one another to form the center section of the sphere.
-
9
Glue five folded circles together for the top and five for the bottom, creating a solid, curved shape with one central folded circle and four surrounding circles, then attach them to the center section of the sphere. Hot glue a ribbon into place for hanging, or display the construction paper spheres in dishes as centerpieces.
