Instructions

  1. Planning and Painting

    • 1

Depending on the style of helmet you have and the design you wish to paint, start with a base color to spray on your entire helmet. Wait for this to dry and then spray another layer to ensure proper covering.

    • 2

After the base color has dried, tape pieces and strips of the masking tape in designs of your choice on the helmet. Remember that the exposed areas on the helmet are the areas that are going to change colors when another layer of paint is sprayed on the helmet.

    • 3

After the paint has dried on the masking tape designs, remove the masking tape.

    • 4

Take the clear gloss spray paint and cover the helmet. This step ensures a shiny finish to accentuate the design and helps protect the paint if the helmet is scratched.

Tips & Warnings

  • Wear old clothes when using spray paint.
