How to Make Homemade Crafts for Kids

A handmade glittery magnetic photo frame is an easy-to-make kids craft that's the perfect homemade holiday gift for friends and family. With just a few supplies, you and your kids can have a lot of fun and create a lasting memory at the same time. You can easily find all of the necessary supplies at your local craft or art store. So, grab your favorite photographs and roll up your sleeves.

Things You'll Need

• Newspaper
• Popsicle sticks
• Hot glue gun
• Hot glue sticks
• Small magnets
• Glitter glue in several colors
• Photographs

Instructions

1. Spread the newspaper out on a flat work surface and plug in the hot glue gun.

2. Apply hot glue to the ends of four Popsicle sticks and stick them together to create a rectangular or square "frame" shape.

3. Apply hot glue to two magnets and stick the magnets to the back of the frame.

4. Turn frame over and decorate the edges with glitter glue. Let glitter glue dry thoroughly (at least 3 hours).

5. Cut your photograph to fit the frame.

6. Apply hot glue to the photograph edges and carefully stick it to the back of the frame, allowing the image to show through the front.

7. Display your beautiful photo frame or give it to someone as a gift.

Tips & Warnings

• Children will need adult help and supervision while using the hot glue gun.

• White glue can also be used for this project. If using white glue, allow for drying time in between steps.

• Hot glue guns are not safe for young children. Hot glue guns and hot glue can cause burns.
