As people are becoming more conscious of recycling paper products and reducing the amount of waste that accumulates in landfills, creative recycling is a popular activity. Instead of throwing away used and wrinkled tissue paper when you receive a gift, unwrinkle the tissue paper and make it look crisp and brand new again. In only a few minutes with a standard iron, you will restore your used tissue paper to pristine condition.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Set up an ironing board and preheat the iron to the proper setting for polyester. Set the iron to emit a light amount of steam.

  2. Step 2

Stack three sheets of tissue paper, matching up the corners and edges. Place the stacked tissue paper on the ironing board and smooth it as much as possible with your hands.

  3. Step 3

Press the stack with the iron. The heat will penetrate to the sheet in the middle.

  4. Step 4

Flip the stack of tissue over, so that the bottom sheet is on the top.

  5. Step 5

Iron the stack again. Again, the heat of the iron will penetrate to the tissue paper in the center, and all three sheets will be smooth and crisp again.

Tips & Warnings
  • Remember to turn the iron off when you're finished.
