The PSP does not support gif files from inside its media folders. There is a trick, however, that enables you to view them, even without Web access. By using your PSP Web browser you can view any gif file you desire.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Sony PSP
  • PC
  • USB cable
  • Gif file
  1. Step 1

Turn on your PSP. Insert your memory stick into the PSP and connect it to your PC with its USB cable.

  2. Step 2

Copy and paste the gif file into the PSP's "COMMON" folder. The "COMMON" folder is inside the PSP's memory stick drive and can be accessed by opening "Computer" from your PC start button and selecting your PSP.

  3. Step 3

Disconnect the PSP from your PC when it is finished. Open up your PSP Web browser and in the address bar type in "ms0:/PSP/COMMON/file_name.gif." The "File_name" needs to be the exact file name. Your gif file will load up and you will be watching it.
