How to Program a Zenith Remote
You may have recently purchased a Zenith universal remote or come upon a missing remote for your Zenith television. To use this remote with your various electronic devices such as your TV, VCR and DVD player, you will first need to properly program the Zenith remote. All Zenith remotes come with proper codes that can be used to program the remote. If you have misplaced these codes, however, you can still program your Zenith remote in just a few minutes.

Place the proper batteries into the Zenith remote.

Turn on the device that you want to program to use with the Zenith remote by pressing the power button on that particular device.

Find the "Code Search" button on the Zenith remote. Hold this button down for roughly three seconds. The button should then light up.

Press the button on the Zenith remote for the device you want to program to that remote (for example, TV or DVD).

Begin pressing the "Power" button repeatedly. Do this until the device mentioned in Step 2 turns off.

Press the "Mute" button on the Zenith remote to save this code.

Tips & Warnings
If your Zenith remote doesn't have a "Code Search" button, you can program the remote by first pressing the button for the device you want to use with that Zenith remote. Hold this button until it lights up. Then begin pressing the "Channel Up" button over and over again until the channel on the device changes. Once the channel changes, press "Mute" to save this code onto the Zenith remote.
