How to Restore Dry Hair With Vinegar
A bad hair day results from unmanageable hair. However, an inexpensive and natural remedy is as close as the kitchen pantry. Vinegar is an excellent solution for bad hair days caused by dry flyaway hair. Hair products, such as hairspray and gel, coat the outer surface of the hair and build up residue. Vinegar removes the build up and closes the hair cuticle. Each strand of hair lies flat and does not tangle, resulting in smoother, shinier hair. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Mix a 1:4 ratio of vinegar to water in a spray bottle. Unused solution can be saved for another treatment.
-
2
Saturate dry hair thoroughly with vinegar solution, taking care to avoid eyes. Drape a towel over your shoulders to absorb drips.
-
-
3
Leave vinegar on hair to penetrate cuticles for 10 to 15 minutes. Don't worry about the smell---it goes away when you wash your hair.
-
4
Shampoo and condition as usual. If you prefer to use the vinegar-and-water solution as a postshampoo rinse, that will also work to eliminate dry flyaway hair.
-
5
Dry and style hair. Vinegar treatment can be performed once or twice weekly to improve your hair's manageability.
