If you have an animal and it goes outside during the day, and comes in at night, there is a big chance it could carry in fleas. A flea collar alone can't fight off a big mass of fleas. These fleas fall off the animal and they will leave behind lots of eggs. Don't worry, fleas can be controlled but it takes several months to treat the place.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Flea collar Vacuum Powders Treatments for yard and animal Vet Dip your pet Flea Bombs
  1. Step 1

Your animal needs to be dipped by the vet and given a flea bath.

  2. Step 2

Buy the products that are sold by the vet that will treat your yard. Treat all the places your pet has been. His bed needs to be thrown away or ask the vet if it is treatable. I would rather throw it away if it were me, just to be on the safe side.

  3. Step 3

Bomb the entire house and leave the house for awhile. When you come back open up all the windows and start vacuuming everywhere. Remember the eggs are everywhere. Try and not miss any spots. After you are finished throw the bag outside in the trash.

  4. Step 4

There are all kinds of products in the pet department at stores that you spray on your floors before vacuuming. Repeat all these steps again and again until you see no more fleas. You have to stay with it to get fleas under control.

Tips & Warnings
  • Ask your vet how often you should change the flea collar.
