How to Install a Security Camera System
From keeping your family safe to monitoring in-home activities, security cameras can give a family peace of mind. While installing your own wireless security camera can be relatively easy, there are several things to think about before placing the system in your home. Picking the perfect spot to put the camera and determining the proper distance of the camera to the object you wish to monitor may be the most difficult task. Tips & Warnings
The distance you use to set up a camera from an object is your own discretion and really depends from camera to camera. You may need to adjust the distance to fix the clarity of the object.
Color wireless cameras have a more clear picture, but they don't always work as well as black and white wireless cameras in low light situations.
If you choose to purchase a wired camera security system, you need to make sure none of the wiring is exposed.
Wired camera systems are fixed in place while wireless systems are more mobile and can be moved.
Follow the manufacturer's directions for easier installation.
You can adjust the picture on the monitor for better reception.
Although wireless camera can be moved around easily, baby monitors, wireless phones, and other gadgets may interfere with the signal.
If you want to record your images, attach the camera to a VCR. Security cameras and VCRs must be compatible for them to work together.
