How to Find an IP Address on the Computer
An Internet Protocol (IP) address is a unique digital code assigned for each computer connected to the Internet. An IP address is written in the dot decimal form, for example, 195.12.128.64. The IP address not only identifies a computer but also encodes information about the network that the computer is assigned to. Windows XP/Vista includes a system program that allows finding out IP configuration for your computer and particularly an IP address.
