If you are using paper, coat the paper with a clear drying glue (such as Mod Podge® or Elmer's) so that the paper does not bleed when covered with epoxy resin. Allow the glue to dry.

Mix the epoxy resin according to the manufacturers instructions.

Place the prepared paper or fabric into the bottle cap bezel and pour the epoxy resin until the bottle cap cavity is full. The design in the paper or fabric will be magnified by the epoxy. Let the resin dry overnight or according to the manufacturers instructions.

Once the resin is dry, turn the bottle cap over and glue the pin findling on the back of the bottle cap with epoxy resin or other metal to metal glue.

    • If you want to hide the fact that your bezel is a bottle cap, you can paint the back of the cap before adhering the pin back.

    • Be sure there is adequate ventilation when working with epoxy resin.

    • Do not test the resin with your finger to determine if it has cured or you may have unsightly fingerprints on the surface of the resin.
