Tart burners are great alternatives to candles when you want to frequently change which scents fill your home. Simply burn one tart one day, remove the wax and put another tart in the next. The most difficult part is removing the wax from the wax well, which is very easy to do.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • freezer, spoon or knife
  1. Step 1

Place the tart burner in the freezer. Make sure it is cool enough so that the wax has solidified.

  2. Step 2

Wait at least ten to fifteen minutes (perhaps longer if the tart burner was still a little warm). If the wax does not come out the first time, place it back into the freezer for another ten to 15 minutes and try again.

  3. Step 3

Retrieve the tart burner and place it on a countertop. Slip the edge of a knife or spoon between the tart burner and the wax and apply slight pressure. The entire wax tart should pop out in one piece.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you have not burned the tart for very long and it still has scent in it, you can store it in a plastic bag after removing it and burn it again at a later time. Occasionally run your empty tart burner through the dishwasher to remove any residual wax that may remain around the rim.
