Instructions

    • 1

Put the entire pound of ground beef in a frying pan. Set the heat to medium. As the pan warms up, add salt and pepper to taste.

    • 2

Spread out the meat evenly in the pan. Sprinkle a layer of chili powder over the meat. Keep in mind that chili powder is hot, so do not use more than your palate can handle.

    • 3

Add cumin. As with the chili powder, cover the entire pan of browning meat. Use twice as much cumin as you did chili powder. It will seem like too much, but it will cook into the meat.

    • 4

Slowly brown the ground beef for 10 minutes or so, stirring often to mix the spices. When the grease begins to boil, pour in the can of Rotel tomatoes. Stir the meat back to a boil, reducing the water from the tomatoes.

    • 5

Remove the meat from the heat, drain the grease and put the meat in a bowl. You're ready for a Mexican fiesta!
