How to Fix a Cadillac Seville Blower Motor
The blower motor in a Cadillac Seville is located in the center console. It must be removed through the right side of the center console once the side panels are removed. The blower motor resister, which allows the blower motor to change speeds when commanded to do so from the heater control panel on the dash, is also located in the blower motor case.

1
Remove the left and right side center console covers using a Phillips screwdriver. If your year Cadillac Seville has the panels that snap on (not common), just pry them off gently with a standard screwdriver.

2
Remove the blower motor-to-instrument panel bracket screws. Unplug the blower motor electrical connectors from the blower motor. Disconnect the console harness electrical connectors.
-
-
3
Unscrew the rear blower motor bracket screws and the lower blower motor insulator screws.
-
4
Push down and forward to free the blower motor from the air duct and rotate the blower motor to remove it out of the passenger side of the center console. Remove the screws that secure the blower motor to the case. Use the ¼-inch drive ratchet and socket. Lift the motor out of the case.
-
5
Remove the fan from the blower motor by removing the nut with the ratchet and socket. Place the fan on the new blower motor and tighten the nut. Insert the fan motor into the case. Put the screws in and tighten them. Install the blower motor fan in the console in reverse order of removal.
