Instructions

    • 1

Mix 2 tbsp. of dish soap and 4 cups of water in a small bucket. Remove the air filter from your vehicle's air box. Vacuum the air filter, removing the large dust deposits.

    • 2

Dip a cloth into the soapy water and gently scrub the filter. Make sure to scrub every inch to get as much dirt off as possible. Dunk or spray the filter with water to get all of the soap off of the filter. Repeat the process, then let the filter dry for two hours.

    • 3

Dab the other cloth in the filter oil. Gently massage the oil into the air filter to moisturize the filter fibers. This will prevent the filter from becoming brittle and breaking. Once the entire filter is moisturized, let it stand for one hour.

Reinstall the air filter into your vehicle, making sure you connect it tightly and properly. The tighter the connection, the better. This will prevent air from escaping and dust from collecting on the inside of the filter.

Tips & Warnings

  • Before applying the oil, make sure it is OK to use it on the filter's fibers. The oil manufacturer will have this information.
