If you are stuck somewhere try calling a friend. Some people have roadside assistance or Triple A. If you have something like this call them and they will assist you.

Make sure both cars are turned off (obviously yours will already be off) and also disconnect any electronics plugged into the cars like GPS devices, radar detectors, etc. Also turn all headlights and emergancy lights off.
-
5
Take one end of the jumper cables (should have two clamps) Attache the negative clamp to the negative terminal on the DEAD battery. (the engative clamp is usually black and marked with a - sign) Now do the same for the positive clamp.
-
6
Once the dead battery is connected to the cables, connect the good battery with the other end of cables the same way.
-
7
Now you are ready to jump start your car. Turn the good cars engine on and let it run for a minute or two. Now start the engine on the dead battery's car. It should start right up, however if it does not, give it a few min and try again. If this still does not work try revving the engine on the good car before trying the bad car again.

Once your "dead" car starts you can disconnect the cables and be on your way!
