Things You'll Need:
- pillowcase
- sewing machine
- thread
- elastic
- ribbon

Step 1
You will start with cutting open the bottom hem of the pillowcase so that the bottom and the top are open.

Flip the pillowcase inside out and pin a hem about half an inch long all around the end of the pillowcase that you cut open.

Use your sewing machine to sew the hem in a straight line all the way around leaving a small slit for your elastic.

Thread the elastic (1/3in width) through the hem. The length of elastic should be one inch smaller then the chest measurement. If her chest measurement is 18 inches, the elastic should be 17in in length.

Once you have threaded the elastic through, stitch the two ends together. You can leave the slit alone or stitch it together.

Step 6
On the inside of the dress you will sew 4 equal size pieces of ribbons to use as shoulder straps. Stitch 2 on front and 2 on back of dress.

Step 7
The dress is done. It is elastic around the chest, under the arms and the ribbon straps hold it up. You will tie the left front and left back ribbons on the left shoulder. And likewise you tie the right front and right back ribbons on the right shoulder.
