Finger paint is such a fun treat for kids, but not always so with mom. Turn this craft into a worry-free paint session that's safe to taste, yet cheap.

Edible paint is quick to make and quick to clean up. Read on to learn how to make up a batch for your little Picasso.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Vanilla Pudding Cups, Store Bought
  • Kool-Aid Packets, Different Colors
  • Water or Milk (optional)
  • Several Small Bowls
  • Mixing Spoon
  1. Step 1

Divide each pudding cup into two separate bowls.

If you don't want that much paint for each color, you can divide it more. For smaller children, one pudding cup easily makes two colors of paint.

  2. Step 2

Pour one pack of Kool-Aid into each bowl of pudding.

Start with half of the Kool-Aid packet and pour in more, until you get the desired color of paint.

  3. Step 3

Add several drops of water or milk to each paint color.

Only use this step if you see that the pudding is too congealed, or thick to mix with the Kool-Aid. Don't water down too heavily or the paint gets too thin.

  4. Step 4

Stir all the contents together. Stir for at least one minute to be sure all of the Kool-Aid is mixed in.

Grab the white paper and your child is ready to paint.

Tips & Warnings
  • Mix the finger paint contents well.
