Stretch your upper legs or quadriceps by standing in front of a wall. Use the wall for balance by extending out your right hand and touching the wall. Bend your right leg back and grab your foot with your left hand behind your back (see Reference 1). Gently pull the right foot until you feel the slight stretch. Count to 20 and release. Continue this stretch with the left leg. Repeat these steps 10 times for each leg.

Vacuum every room in the house. Be sure to bend at the knees when you vacuum under furniture and beds. Use any attachments on the vacuum cleaner to clean drapes and hard-to-reach areas. While doing this, make sure to tighten your stomach muscles and extend your arms as much as possible.

Play a 20-minute game of racquetball or tennis with a friend (see Reference 2). Besides working up a sweat, you will be able to enjoy time with one or more of your favorite people.

Take a walk after dinner. This will not only help to burn calories, but you will also be able to rid yourself of that "full" feeling.
