How to Present Flowers
-
1
Open the long white box. Sometimes these boxes are sold folded flat and must be pushed back out into shape. Run your hand along the inside of the box and crease the folds to open the box and push it into shape. The box may not retain its complete shape until it is filled with the flowers, so if it bends in, do not be worried.

2
Place a layer of tissue paper in the bottom portion of the long white box. Several sheets may be needed to line the box. The tissue paper should overlap the edges of the box also because it will act as filler and protection for the flowers being put in the box. After a layer of tissue paper is placed in the box, crinkle some extra sheets and place them in the bottom part of the box around the edges. Roses are a common flower placed in a long white box, but flowers such as long-stemmed lilies or other tall flowers can also be used.

Arrange the flowers how you wish them to be seen when the give box of flowers is opened. Include filler such as fern greens and baby's breath to make the bouquet of flowers look fuller and prettier to the eye. Try different arrangements until you find one that you like. Wrap a rubber band around the bottom of the stems along with a small flower food packet. This will be used once the flowers are placed in water and will make them longer-lasting and more vibrant.

4
Lay the flowers in the box on top of the tissue paper. Gently place a few more sheets of tissue paper on top of the flowers. Do not press down on the tissue paper because this could crush the flowers and make the petals fall off. Fold the excess tissue paper that has overlapped the edges of the box into the box and over top of the other tissue paper. Place the lid on the box. The box should now be full enough to be filled out into its proper shape.

5
Pick up the box and lay it on top of a long piece of wide red ribbon that has been laid flat on a table or other flat surface. Wrap the ribbon around the box and tie into a big bow in the center of the box. The box of flowers is now ready to be presented to the special person in your life. Write a message on a small card and place this under the ribbon to add a more personal note to the presented flowers.

6
Display the roses by arranging them in a glass vase or a pretty vase that you are found of. Although the stems of long-stemmed rose should be trimmed for longer preservation of the blooms, they will still be tall and require a tall vase.

Tips & Warnings
Use the right size box for the size of the flowers you are using. Long-stemmed roses will need a longer box than short-stemmed flowers.
Before presenting flowers to anyone, make sure they do not have allergies to the flowers you are considering giving to them. Some allergic reactions can be severe.
