How to Decorate Kitchen Soffits

Decorate your kitchen soffits with artwork you can easily make, photos you can easily take and plates you can buy or paint yourself. Instructions

1. Create your own artwork to hang above your kitchen soffits. Make color blocks or geometric designs by taping off the sections and painting with any color of acrylic paint that coordinates with your kitchen. Pottery studios offer crafted plates, ready to paint or decorate as you like. They will fire and glaze the plate for you and you can hang it on your soffit. Paint ceramic plates at home with glass paint or decoupage prints onto a tin, glass or ceramic plate.

4. Paint an inspirational verse or saying onto you kitchen soffit. Measure the height that you'd like your letters to be and mark two pencil lines along the soffit where the letters will fit. Stencils help make this an easy craft project as you can simply trace the letters and fill in with paint or stencil them directly onto the soffit.
