How to get a free version of Microsoft Word

Don't like paying 200 bucks for a word processor? Me neither, so I found an alternative that works just as good and its is FREE! Here are the steps to head you in the right direction to get a free version of Microsoft Word and the whole office suite!

Things You'll Need

• Computer with internet capabilities

Instructions

1. Open Office 3.0, this great software is the same thing as Microsoft Office. It has Open Office Writer, Open Office Calculator, and Open Office Impress.

2. Check out www.openoffice.org where you can download a free copy of this Microsoft Office knockoff. Open Office Calculator uses the same equations as Excel so you wont have to learn the whole thing over again! Open Office Writer is almost identical to Microsoft Word, and Open Office Impress is the same thing as Powerpoint, though some of the buttons might be in a different place, it is the same concept.

3. Open Office 3.0 is a great download for those who want to save money. I have not had a problem with any of the programs since I started using them. Go check it out!

4. If you want to find a free version of other software there are many out there. CAD Software - Google Sketchup is free www.google.com. Photoshop free version - Gimp, free software and just as powerful as photoshop! www.gimp.org
