Sonicwalls are a form of Internet access restriction. They are most frequently found in schools or work places where the administration wants to prevent people from visiting certain websites. It is possible to bypass sonicwalls but it requires the use of a proxy. A proxy is essentially a middleman that intercepts your computer's information and allows you to access a website indirectly. Because of this indirect connection, proxies allow you to get around sonicwalls.

Instructions

    • 1

      Go to the website Hidemyass.com (see Resources). This website is very easy to use and will allow you to surf the web via a proxy.

      Scroll down the page until you see the hypertext "Free Web Proxy." Click on it.

      Type the web address that you want to visit into the text box on the next page. The text box is located on the top of the page directly beneath the words "Free Web Proxy."

      Click the "Hide My Ass" button to the right of the text box. The button has an image of a donkey on it.

    • 5

      Wait for the server to redirect you to the site that you specified.

Tips & Warnings

  • There are many online proxy services that work like the one suggested here. Other options include Anonymouse.we, ShadowSurf.com and Guardster.com.
