http://iwannanewbag.blogspot.com/2007/04/purses-made-from-candy-wrappers-etc.html,

Honestly, I didn't think this could be done. After some research I found out that you can literally make purses from candy wrappers, wrapping paper, magazines, soft drink labels and even food wrappers. The technique used is a simple weaving technique which originated from Mexican paper weaving.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A lot of gum wrappers
  • Thin wire
  • Cellophane tape
  • Scissors
  • Patience
  1. Step 1

Cut the gum wrappers long way, then fold the gum wrappers long way in half. Next, fold both ends still in the long direction into the center.

  2. Step 2

At this point, you can now fold the long strip that in half. Next, you will have to fold both ends of the wrapper to the center, you now have your first link. Go ahead and repeat the steps above to create additional links.

  3. Step 3

After you have create a few links, we need connect them to start making a purse. You can do this by connecting one link into the other and reinforcing the links with thin wire. You can also provide more stability to the links if on the unexposed side attached a small piece of cellophane tape.
