Things You'll Need:
- low-sudsing cleanser
- a bath tub
- cotton gloves
- a place to hang the blinds to dry - preferrably a clothesline or similar area.
-
Step 1
Start by pouring a low-sudsing soap or all-purpose cleaner into a bathtub, and fill with at least a few inches of water.
-
Step 2
Make sure your blinds have been pulled all the way up so that they are very compact to carry. Next, remove the venetian blinds from the window (should be very easy - just remove the tabs that are facing the outside, and they'll slide right out).
-
Step 3
Submerge blinds in the bath tub. You may release the lock so that there is more room in between each slat. Put on cotton gloves to wipe between each of the slats.
-
Step 4
To dry, the ideal place is to hang on a clothesline. Leave the slats open for quicker drip-drying. If you do not have a clothesline, you should be able to prop them against your shower curtain rod and the top of your shower so that the dripping goes into the tub.

on 10/13/2009 Yep, done this. That's what I use the garden tub for. Hang a hook in the ceiling over the tub for them to drain, then take outside to finish drying in the sun. Makes cleaning blinds an easier job. 5*
