Instructions

    • 1

Make the sauce for your kabobs by combining chicken broth, garlic powder, salt, pepper and olive oil in a mixing bowl. Set in the refrigerator until your turkey sausage is ready.

    • 2

Pour 1 cup of water in a frying pan and add your turkey sausage. Cook for 8 minutes once the water begins to boil. Your turkey sausage will not be completely cooked at this point.

    • 3

Cut your turkey sausage links into 2-inch pieces. This size is ideal for your skewers.

    • 4

Cut up your onions and green peppers into chunks big enough to go on your skewers.

    • 5

Slide a piece of turkey sausage on the skewer and then a piece of red pepper. Next slide on a cherry tomato and then a yellow pepper. Finish off with an onion slice and start all over again until you cannot fit any more on the skewer. Do this with several skewers.

    • 6

Pour the sauce you made in step 1 all over your kabobs.

    • 7

Grill your kabobs on medium high heat for 4 minutes. Flip and cook another 4 minutes. Every 2 minutes you will want to brush on some more of the sauce you made earlier.

    • 8

Serve over a pile of rice.

Tips & Warnings

  • This recipe also goes great with polenta instead of the rice. You can broil the turkey sausage kabobs if you don't own a grill.
