How to Publish a BlueVoda Website
-
1
Go to VodaHost.com and purchase a domain name and web-hosting account. Keep the welcome email from VodaHost.com in a safe place, so you can find your login details later.
-
2
Open the pages you want to publish in BlueVoda.
-
-
3
Add a title and keywords to each page by selecting View/Page Properties from the menu. Click on the "General" tab and add a page title in the Title box. Select the "Meta Tags" tab and add keywords in the textbox. Hit the OK button. Repeat this process for each page.
-
4
Save each of your web pages by selecting "File/Save Page As" from the menu. Use a short file name that reflects your page's purpose. Do not use all caps or spaces in your file name. Save the homepage as "index," not "home." Do not add html or htm as a file extension, because BlueVoda will add these when your pages are published. Accept the bvp default for BlueVoda files under "Save As Type."
-
5
To publish your BlueVoda website, select "File/Publish" from the menu or click on the publish button on the toolbar. At the "Publish Web Page" screen, add your server IP address, username, and password as shown in the welcome email you received from VodaHost.
-
6
Keep the folder default as public_html (unless you need to publish to a different subfolder).
-
7
Select "Publish all files" or the applicable choice.
-
8
Hit the "Publish" button. You should see a pop-up that says your files published successfully.
-
9
Disable your firewalls if the files do not publish successfully. Don't forget to enable firewalls as soon as your BlueVoda website publishes. Happy publishing!

Tips & Warnings
Check for spelling, grammatical errors and broken links before publishing your files to the Internet. Optimize your images so your pages can load quickly. Large images tend to slow down the page-load time. Consider using thumbnails that visitors can enlarge if you have a photo gallery. Adding a page title and keywords to your website can improve your site's visibility.
