Things You'll Need:
- 1 and 1/2 Tablespoons of Water
- 1/2 Teaspoon of Elder Flower Extract(can be bought at nature stores, organic or online)
- 1/4 cup of Avocado Oil
- 2 Tablespoons of Almond Oil
- 4 Teaspoons of Wheat Germ oil
- 2 Tablespoons of Lanolin
- 2 Tablespoons Glycerin
- 2 Drops of Geranium Essential oil
- 1 Vitamin E capsule (400 IU)
-
Step 1
Warm water and Elder Flower Extract in a Stainless Steel Saucepan to a simmer then remove from heat. Other types of pans such as Aluminum or Copper are reactive and the chemicals can react to food and water and sometimes omit a metallic scent to it.
-
Step 2
In a double boiler or a pan in a larger pan of simmering water add the avocado oil, almond and wheat germ oils. Stir in the lanolin until melted and remove from heat.
-
Step 3
Gradually stir the elder flower water. Stir in the Glycerin and geranium essential oil.
-
Step 4
Pierce the Vitamin E capsule and squeeze out the oil into the mixture.
-
Step 5
Pour into an empty eye cream container that has been sterilized (you can wash it in a dish washer in the utensil section or very hot water). Store in a cool dark place. The refrigerator is a great place to store it. I have provided a link where you can purchase Elder Flower. Just enter in your zip code or you can find it online along with other organic or natural ingredients
