Build a Marshmallow Shooter

A marshmallow gun is a simple blowgun that shoots marshmallows. It is easy and fun for kids to make and use. It only requires a few PVC pipes and a bag of mini marshmallows. Make sure to have plenty of marshmallows, as some are sure to get eaten. Marshmallow shooters make a good project for scouts, children's parties or for a rainy-day activity.

Lay the main body of the marshmallow gun side by side in this order:
elbow joint, 3-inch pipe, T joint (leg facing up), 3inch pipe, T joint (leg facing down) and 7-inch pipe. Join each piece to the one next to it.

To make the handles, place a 3-inch pipe into the elbow joint and the downward-facing T joint. Place and end cap on each piece of 3-inch pipe.

For the shooter intake, place a 3-inch pipe in the upward-facing T joint leg. Attach an elbow joint to that and then another 3-inch piece to the other end of the elbow.

To fire your marshmallow gun, place a mini marshmallow just inside the opening of the shooter intake. Hold the gun by the two handles and aim. Blow into the intake, sending the marshmallow at its target.

    Tips & Warnings

    • Place only one marshmallow in the intake at a time for best results. Pre-cut the pipe so children can assemble the guns themselves.

    • Supervise children when playing with the shooter. Do not aim a marshmallow gun at the face.
