Once you know the color check online or by phone places that have the color you need. It may be a good idea to buy the least expensive just in case you don't like the color or the way it looks. You also want to be sure it's water proof hair spray color so it won't run or fade if it rains.

      Time to spray

Okay, you have the product and you're ready to go! Just like all other hair spray products you hold the can 10-12 inches from the head. It's also good to wear rubber gloves for a couple of reasons. One being it may be dark color and you don't want it on your hands. The other is so you can put color on your fingers for gray areas like the temples or gray roots. It's also best if you wear something to protect clothing.

To touch up the gray areas all you do it spray some of the color on fingers and gently smooth it on from top to bottom making sure it's evenly distributed. You will need a hand mirror to see all around the head and remember things look backwards in mirrors.
