Bingo is a game that's enjoyed by players of all ages. The goal is to get five spaces in a row marked off on your card before any of your opponents do it first. If you don't have a Bingo set, you can still play a game of Bingo as long as you have a deck of playing cards and the supplies to create your own card. Choosing your own playing cards to fill up your Bingo card with is part of the fun of playing Bingo using a deck of playing cards instead of numbers.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Paper Pencil Bingo chips
  1. Step 1

Give each player a piece of paper and instruct them to draw a 5-by-5 inch grid by drawing a box and dividing it into five rows and five columns. By creating a new grid for each game, it is completely random each time you play Bingo with a deck of cards.

  2. Step 2

Instruct each player to write a rank of a playing card anywhere from two, as the lowest, up through Ace, as the highest. Do not enter suits at this time.

  3. Step 3

Above each of the first four columns, write out the four suits from the playing deck in order. These are spades, hearts, diamonds and clubs. The fifth column can be labeled as "wild."

  4. Step 4

Shuffle the deck of playing cards, and flip the top card of the deck face up. Each player that has that card written down on their playing grids in the proper suit column may cross it off. If a player has that card in their fifth column, he can cross it off as the suit does not matter for the fifth column. Each player may only cross off one square for each card. The goal is to get five spaces crossed off in a row, either diagonally, vertically or horizontally. Unlike standard Bingo, there is no wild space in the middle of the playing card.

  5. Step 5

Flip up the next card face up from the top of the deck. Continue flipping cards until one player has crossed off five squares in a row. That player is the winner of the game. Shuffle the cards and start over with each player creating a new Bingo card.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you wish to avoid creating new Bingo cards for each game, use bingo chips or pieces of paper to mark off the grids for each player when he matches a card from the deck. This way the same card can be used for additional games.
  • Keep all of the used cards in a pile in case there is a dispute when one of the players call bingo. You can verify the bingo by going back through the cards to make sure the player is indeed the winner.
