    Instructions

    Things You'll Need

    • 2-foot length of rope
      • 1

Tie a simple overhand knot in the rope. The short tail coming out from this knot will form the loop of the honda knot, so position the overhand knot according to how big you want the loop to be when you finish the knot. For a smaller loop, tie the overhand knot so that there is a short amount of tail. For a larger loop, tie the overhand knot so that there is a longer amount of tail. Do not make the overhand knot tight yet.

      • 2

Push the knot slightly to make an opening in it.

      • 3

Place the short tail of the rope through the opening made in step 2.

      • 4

Pull on your knot in opposite directions to tighten.

      • 5

Shape the loop of the honda knot to make the lasso loop the desired size. You can make it bigger or smaller by making the knot tighter or looser.

      • 6

Tighten the honda knot when you have the loop the size you want.
