CareerBuilder.com claims to be the largest career website in the United States, with over 1.6 million jobs posted. Employers use CareerBuilder to advertise their job openings to over 23 million job seekers around the country each month. Posting jobs on CareerBuilder is an easy, straightforward process that takes no more than 10 to 15 minutes per posting. Before you can begin posting jobs, you will need to purchase postings and create a CareerBuilder account.
Things You'll Need
- Visa, MasterCard or American Express credit card
- Job details
Visit www.careerbuilder.com and click "Post Jobs."
Decide how many job postings you need to purchase. One individual job posting costs $419, but you can save money by buying job postings in bulk. Buy 10 job postings at one time and each posting costs $340. Buy 20 postings and the cost per posting drops to $290.
Click "Buy one posting" or "Buy job postings in bulk," depending on your needs. On the next page, choose the exact number of postings you want to buy from the drop-down menu. Click "Continue."
Register for a CareerBuilder account by entering your email address and clicking "Continue to final step."
Enter your personal information, including name, company name, company address and phone number. In the space provided, type the password you would like to use for the account. Finally, enter the payment information--Visa, MasterCard or American Express--you will use to pay for the job postings and click "Complete Purchase." CareerBuilder will process your payment and send you into the dashboard you will use to post jobs.
Move your mouse over "My Jobs" on the top navigation bar to illuminate the sub-navigation. Click "Post Jobs."
Enter the job details in the spaces provided. CareerBuilder will prompt you to enter certain information, including the job title, industry and category, the company name and job location. Write the job description and requirements in the spaces provided, including any information that job seekers will need to know about the job.
Select the appropriate job details from the drop-down menus at the bottom of the page, including employee type, minimum and maximum experience required, degree required and travel required. Select the job's salary details from the compensation drop-down. Finally, enter the contact information for the person who will field questions about the job.
Click "Continue" and a preview of the job posting will be displayed. If you spot an error, click "Edit" and fix the information that needs to be changed. If all the information is correct, click "Confirm" and the job will be posted.
Repeat steps 6 through 9 if you have other jobs to post. If you ever need to change the details about a job or delete a posting, you can access those commands through your dashboard. The dashboard is displayed when you first log in.
