How to Use a Glass Dome Vaporizer

A glass dome vaporizer is an electric device used to burn herbal material for smoking. It works by heating the herbs on a steel hotplate under a glass dome. This vaporizes the material and allows it to be inhaled through an attached tube. It may take a few tries to get it right, but using these instructions you will soon be able to use your glass dome vaporizer properly.

Instructions

1. Plug in the vaporizer and allow to heat for ten minutes, without the glass dome attached. Turn off the vaporizer and allow it to cool completely. This ensures that any dust or oil on the heating unit is burned off. This step only needs to be performed the first time the vaporizer is used.

2. Plug in the vaporizer and allow it to heat for 2 to 3 minutes prior to each use, without the glass dome attached. Warming in this manner should take place each time you want to use the device. It won't work properly if it isn't warmed up first.

3. Place ground herbal smoking blend onto the warmed hotplate. Spread the material evenly over the surface. Be very careful not to touch the steel plate with your fingers, as it can cause burns.

4. Replace the glass dome carefully, ensuring that you do not touch the heating element, or steel hotplate. It may take several minutes before the herbal material begins to vaporize.

5. Inhale the vapor through the tube when you see a cloud of vapor appear in the glass dome. Wait until it begins to swirl around the dome, and then inhale gently.

6. Continue as long as you like, or until there is no more vapor. This can take five minutes or more, depending on the amount of herbal material placed on the plate. Remove the ashes from the hotplate, unplug the glass dome vaporizer and store it as usual.
