-
Step 1
Click on Start then Computer.
-
Step 2
Double click on the C: drive, then on Users, then on the name of the user who needs the bookmarks backup.
-
Step 3
In the address box, click in the white space, and you will read “C:\Users\” followed by the user name you selected. Click just to the right of that and type “\AppData.” After this step, if it's Bob who needs to restore bookmarks, this box will read “C:\Users\Bob\AppData” and you will then hit Enter.
-
Step 4
Double click on the Roaming folder, then Mozilla, then Firefox, and then on the Profiles folder.
-
Step 5
You will now see just one folder with a long, random name with numbers, letters and symbols. Double click on it.
-
Step 6
Now you will see a folder named bookmarkbackups, which is where you will find a separate Firefox bookmarks backup for each of the last five days. Select the date you want to restore, right-click and copy it to your desktop.
-
Step 7
Open the Firefox browser (if it's not already open), select the Bookmarks tab and click on Organize Bookmarks.
-
Step 8
In the new window, select the File tab, click on Import, and then select the file that you copied to your desktop. Your Firefox bookmarks will be copied right where you need them, and your bookmarks backup and restore is complete.
