Things You'll Need:
- images
- photo paper
- card stock
- glue dots
- ink pads
- markers
- acid free scrapbooking paper
-
Step 1
The first step to making handmade greeting cards is gathering all your supplies. You will need card stock, acid free scrapbooking paper, glue dots or glue runner, images, rubber stamps, stamp pads, markers, and photo paper.
-
Step 2
After deciding what images and sentiments you want to put on your card, decide whether you are going to completely hand make your card or whether you want to create a hybrid card. A hybrid card is a card that you digitally create on greeting card software. You print it out and add embellishments such as buttons, flowers, and ribbons.
-
Step 3
Hybrid cards are fast and fun to make. You can find word art online and print out the sentiment along with your images and designs on photo paper. Please check out the resource box below this article to find my articles on finding word art online and my articles on cricut expression.

Step 4
If you decide to completely hand make your card, you need to decide on what papers you want to use. Glue them on to card stock. It is fun to mix several different patterns. Add your rubber stamped image that you colored in with markers and add some embellishments. There are tons of blogs online with beautiful examples of how to make hand made greeting cards. Be sure to check out the resource box below this article to find links to blog that will show you how to make your own cards.
