How to Assemble a Cubicle

An office cubicle is also called office walls, office panels or office partitions. The function of the office cubicle is to provide privacy to office workers when there aren't any wall studs or drywall between them. Office cubicles are constructed in any manner or layout design you create to separate the working spaces of co-workers. Assembling a cubicle depends on the material the cubicle is made from and the connecting device. One of the easiest cubicles to assemble are those made from acrylic panels.

• Acrylic panels
• Connectors

Instructions

1. 

   Set two cubicle partition panels next to each other. Install a 1-foot metal connector across the top and bottom of the panels. Snap the connectors in place to hold the panels together. The acrylic panels are constructed with indented grooves along the tops and bottoms that allow the connectors to snap into place.

2. 

   Attach two panels together at a 90-degree angle, and use an angle connector to hold them in place. Snap one into the bottom corner, as well as the top, of both panels.

3. 

   Orient two cubicle panels together in a T shape by connecting the end of one panel to the face of another. Use an upper and lower T connector.

4. 

   Use a star connector to create a four-way intersection. This flat bar steel connector allows you to place the panels in a cross shape, holding them sturdy together.

5. Snap a stand-alone leg into any panel. The legs are flat and lie flush with the ground. Apply one leg to each end of the panel to give it standing power.

Tips & Warnings

• Panels can be placed on top of each other for cubicle wall height. Some people prefer extra privacy, especially at a trade show.

• Make sure to snap on the connectors tight to prevent the panels from accidentally disconnecting.
