How to Put a Photo As a Myspace Background
One of the best ways to illustrate what makes you unique is by adding a personal or special photo as your MySpace background. Since MySpace updated the profile editing tools late in 2008, this process is no longer as easy as it once was. However, it is still possible to use a personal or special photo as a MySpace background by using these simple instructions.

Log-in to your MySpace account.

Upload the photo you would like to use by clicking the "Upload" link underneath your profile photo on MySpace. Once the photo uploading tool opens, click the "Browse" tab and select the image from your computer files. Select "Upload" to upload the image automatically.

Copy the URL of this photo by opening the photo in MySpace. Then select the "Copy" tab located in the box immediately to the right of the photo.
Edit the Background

Mouse over the "Profile" tab located at the top of the MySpace page. When the profile menu list drops down, select the "Customize Profile" link. This opens up the advanced profile editor where you can edit what your MySpace friends can see.

Select the "Advanced Edit" option located at the top of the page. This opens up the background editing tool.

Click the field marked "URL" in the background editing tool. Press the Ctrl button and the letter "V" on your keyboard. This will paste the copied URL to your photo into your background. If the image does not show up in the preview, do not fret. Often the page must be published before the changes will be reflected.

Decide whether the image should repeat on the page, whether the image will scroll down the page as the viewer scrolls and choose the background color and position of the photo as requested by the drop down menus in the background edit tool.

Select the "Publish" tab in the top right-hand corner of the MySpace profile editor and view the final outcome. Reopen the profile editor to make any additional changes.
