Things You'll Need:
- Found objects such as bottle caps (metal), dominoes, dice, broken earrings, fancy buttons (about the size of a quarter or larger), metal lids from juice concentrate cans
- Strip of adhesive magnet (found at craft supply stores)
- craft glue
-
Step 1
Make sure your object is clean and free of sharp edges, points, and loose debris. Decide which side is going to be the back and which will be the front of the magnet. If necessary, sand the back with a little fine sandpaper and brush clean.
-
Step 2
Cut a strip of magnet to fit your object. Make sure it is long enough to support the weight of the object but not so long as it hangs over the edges.
-
Step 3
Peel the adhesive from the magnet back and add one or two drops of craft glue to the sticky side of the magnet. Firmly press your magnet strip onto the object and hold for a minute or two. Wipe off any excess glue.
-
Step 4
Allow to dry overnight before using. Voila! You have your own custom made refrigerator magnets to enjoy and share.
