Want to strike it rich with a new product idea, but don’t have a clue as to what that new product looks like? We’d all like to come up with an amazing new product idea that will make millions. The difference between having a pipe dream and making that dream a reality, though, is how hard you’re willing to work to find that stellar new product idea. Here are the steps you need to develop that new product idea and (potentially) make millions.

Difficulty: Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • a really good new product idea
  • business sense and helpful lawyers
  1. Step 1

Think about what people need. Pay attention when someone complains about a lack or this or that. Is there a new product idea that could fill this need (while allowing you to make millions)?

  2. Step 2

Do some research to find out if your new product idea has been tried out already. If it has, go back to step 1 and search for another new product idea that you think will make millions.

  3. Step 3

When you have a solid new product idea at hand, get a patent for it. Better safe than sorry when it comes to your product design. A link to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office can be found in the Resources area at the end of this article.

  4. Step 4

Now it’s time to build a prototype design of your new product idea.

  5. Step 5

Test your new product idea out. Evaluate the test prototype and work out any flaws in your product design.

  6. Step 6

After you’ve properly designed your new produce idea, it’s time get the marketing process rolling. Hope you make millions!
