1. The first step to making sofa cushions is measuring the length and width of the cushion between the welts. The first measurement would be the up and down measurement, and the side to side measurement. Use a dark colored fabric pen to mark your measurements, so that you are exact on your cutting.

2. The second step to making sofa cushions is to lay a pattern out with the measurements on it, then cut the material to fit the foam for the cushion. Make sure that your measurements are just right because if you cut the material too short, then you will have to start all over.

3. The third step to making sofa cushions is to sew three sides of the materials that is the covering, then leave a big enough opening to the fourth side to stuff the cushion into, and finally sew the fourth side of the cushion.
