How to Hang a Flat Panel TV on a Wall
You can wall mount a flat panel TV fairly easily. You need some basic tools and the ability to lift the television. It is good to have a helper for this project.

Find a wall stud in the area where you want to wall mount your flat panel TV. It is important to mount it on a stud so that it will support the weight of the TV safely.

Following the instructions that came with your wall mount, install the wall portion of the mount to the wall. Be very sure to get it level, this is an important consideration.

Again, follow the instructions and install the part that goes on the TV.

Decide whether to use a cable cover for the wires or whether to run them through the drywall.

If running the wires through the wall, cut a hole behind the TV for them to go into the wall and one at the bottom to come back out.

Hang the flat panel TV on the wall mount. Unless the TV is small, it is good to have a helper to help you with this.
